Great name 'Lucifer' with the fiery red flowers evoking a future reckoning and giving one pause to reflect on the wisdom of past sins which seemed like such great ideas at the time. But maybe that is just our checkered past leading is to over-think things because most folks just admire the flowers for what they are - darned pretty and Happy Hour for hummingbirds. This is a Bressingham introduction and a standby. It is one of the earliest to flower in July and kicks of the Crocosmia floriade in our trial beds.
