Description

Quart Pot
Clear even yellow flowers on this prolific July-August bloomer. This blends well with other hotter colors in mid to late summer. A compact grower to around 24 "high and enjoying full to mostly sun. This is commonly offered in the trade as 'George Davison' which is the name under which this came to us. George Davison was the Head Gardener at Westwick Hall in England a century ago and was a Crocosmia buff introducing several hybrids. We're guessing he is cranky over being defamed by the Norwichians. The true 'George Davison' is markedly different given the cultivar description in Goldblatt, Manning and Dunlop's book, "Crocosmia and Chasmanthe"and this faux 'George Davison' is regarded as synonymous with 'Norwich Canary'. As these words come from on high, we believe.
