Quart Pot
This is one of a number of good selections to have come out of the perennial powerhouse of Bressingham Gardens. This is very floriferous and makes a lower more rounded clump than 'Lucifer' for example which is another Bressingham introduction. We quite like this and it has proven itself in our trial beds. We worry that we are becoming Crocosmophiles similar to those Galanthophiles who swoon over a twist of the leaf or brush of green on a tepal but we're not like that all. We don't have a problem except that there are Crocosmias out there which we don't have yet. Oh sure, you can say that the first step is admitting there is a problem but really, we're ok - we can handle this. Did we tell you that some of the seeds from our Crocosmia crosses that we did are germinating? That'll be interesting when they get book enough to bloom - even though it is late tonight maybe we'll grab the flashlight and see if any more sprouted. We'll just slip on our Crocs and take a peek. Visited our friends Susie and David of the late Hedgerows Nursery this week and they gave us a Crocosmia we didn't have - so exciting! It's just one more for the collection and we can find room for it. Not a problem.
