Description

Quart Pot
A quite distinct cultivar derived from Crocosmia pottsii. We just dread getting plants from Scotland as the gods alone know how to pronounce the names. Culzean is actually pronounced Killane and was grown on the grounds of Culzean Castle so you can impress your friends with your mastery of the Gallic. We are simply enamored with the tubular soft tomato-colored flowers which is of a color and shape not often found in many varieties. This is likely simply a selection of the species as it lies well within the characteristics for the species and shows no evidence of outside influences and so we are listing it as a selection of C. pottsii. A lovely plant which can get fairly tall when happy. Give this room as it is a spreader and it is happiest in moist soil.
