Large Band Pot
Outrageous Iris relative from South Africa with lots of big yellow Iris flowers above the leaves on 2'-3' stems in early summer. Fantastic leathery evergreen leaves sheathed at the base in an artful netted tunic. The leaves remind me of a leather belt reminding me of my mom when I was young and willful. This is a very cool plant that has gone through our winters with nary a whimper. We used to coddle it with mulch but no more.
