What a surprising Allium we received from Diana Reeck of Collector's Nursery years ago who was given seeds from Prof. Weibang Sun of Kunming Botanic Garden back in the 90's.  The time lapse is testimony to the perseverance of this attractive onion as admittedly there have been stretches of time when had there been an Allium Hague Tribunal, we would have been brought up on charges but this has endured and is now thriving under the attention it so richly deserves.  An Asian rhizomatous type which clumps with fresh green foliage when flowering rather than the Great Withering which occurs with the bulbous species.  Small heads of yellow flowers on 10"-15" stems set in a comparatively statuesque frame (comparing to Allium moly here) sets this apart from its yellow compatriots.   We have a very few to offer.  Hesitate and all is lost at least for this year.
