Anisodus tanguticus Anisodus carniolicoides (Previously listed as A. tanguticus)

Interesting member of the Solanaceae which we collected in Bita Hai in Yunnan waaaay back in 1997. Totally dormant in winter, this bursts forth in late spring and rapidly makes a multi-stemmed plant up to 5' high with curious nearly waxy 1.5" pale greenish flowers like overturned spittoons. Poisonous rhizomes are used medicinally.
