Description
This was spotted by Frederick Bedford in 1858 who was the head gardener for Lord Clarina at Straffan in County Kildare, Ireland and he noticed the unusual characteristic of this having two flowers per bulb. In most years, these do produce two bright white flowers with somewhat elongated petals and with natural increase in bulbs, this really does give you more bang for your buck. It also extends the snowdrop season as this is one of the later cultivars.
