Description
Collected in Japan by Tom Mitchell of the late Evolution Plants, this has broadly lanceolate green leaves with tall 30"-36" stems of violet-blue flowers. If you are into the flashy hosta cultivars, then you can probably give this a miss but if you are a species wonk like we are, then you are kinda obliged. It is a solid performer and educational when paired with rectifolia hybrids.
