There are good Hypericums and this is one of them. Small plant with tiny gray-green leaves that fortunately suffers from Little Plant Complex and overcompensates with comparatively Olympian large pale yellow flowers. Super in the dry garden or front of the border. Beautiful in John Massey's garden at Ashwood.
An ornamental shrub from northern Vietnam from the Floden-Mitchell-Wynn-Jones collection in 2011 to which we were privy to a large share of the seed spoils. We've put a lot into Karma and we've a good balance going. From an area where plants are hardy for us, this will have classic St John's Wort yellow flowers.
Our collection of this cute little species from the eastern Himalaya. This was on a steep slope in an opening among the scrub and was just uphill from a superb form of R. dalhousieae v rhabotum. This has mounding arching branchlets tipped in soft yellow flowers. Deciduous. We haven't seen this in cultivation.
