A selection of South American Antarctic Beech from Seattle's Washington Park Arboretum that is notable for being columnar shaped.  This is a fine ornamental tree eventually getting 30' or more tall but it will take probably longer than you have left but when it does, it won't take as much horizontal room as many other trees.  Small green leaves which color up quite brilliantly in fall in orange-yellow.  The bark in itself is attractive with prominent white lenticels like little flattened white eyebrows patterning the trunk and branches.  Not fussy and no particular problems to worry about.  Good to zone 7.
