Description

A collection from Bolivia by Far Reaches Botanical Conservancy taxonomist Cody Hinchliff.  This well-armored species was found on a sunny, well-drained bank above a river where it made blue-grey rosettes to 3' wide with a long, branched inflorescense 3'-6' tall.  Nice, tender rarity good in zone 10 and likely a warmer zone 9.  Great container plant and easy to overwinter inside as long as you are careful not to keep it in the toddler's room.  Will take some dry so good for the well-intentioned but distracted gardener.  A portion of the proceeds goes to support the mission of Far Reaches Botanical Conservancy.
